Sister Rachael Collins - Brazil Curitiba Mission

This week flew by my goodness!! First off, we hit all our goals this week!! YAY! The past couple weeks have been way hard getting new investigators and setting dates for baptism but this week was way better! We had 3 people come to church so that was awesome! One of our investigators doesn’t speak Portuguese very well, its suuuper hard to talk to him but he’s sooo strong, he’s from Haiti and is super interested but teaching him is way hard but its cool bc as we teach him he can feel something different and he wants to learn more. I teach English on Saturdays at the church so he’s started coming early and we teach a little Portuguese to hahah super fun. Also one investigator came to church with her son, she has some major depression issues and never leaves her house, so her son stays with her. Also next week I won’t write you on Monday I will write you on Wednesday, we are going to the temple, super excited!!  As for my week this week, really chill, don’t really have much to say, Sis Baron is a SLT so she does divisions a lot and leaves me to our area with a sister named Sis Bastista. She’s newer then me on the mission so its fun to be able to lead the discussion and all. The language is finally coming along, I get compliments on the language from people on the street, my accent is still super strong but I’m able to speak about things that I want and tell stories, its good bc I’m finally feeling like myself in Portuguese. SUCH a good week. Wow I love my comp so much! She’s the cutest person ever and we just laugh and idk when we teach people it just flows and idk this transfer is going to be sooo good. The area Santa Felicidade is great, the ward members are so good! Love obra de missionario so this is a huge blessing. But since we are opening the area, that comes with challenges haha we started out the week with no map. How can you work with no map? You cant, so lots and lots of knocking doors on the same street bc we only knew one street haha and now we ran out of cartões so its been a hard week but miracle bc guess what. We still hit all our goals with new people and even set a baptism date. God WILL deliver as long as we are working our hardest and doing everything on our part. Transfers today!! Sadly I left Ala Ahú, that area is so amazing and I feel so blessed that I got to start my mission there. But after 3 transfers I guess it was time for me to leave, super sad, it weird, I thought goodbyes were over when I said bye to the family, little did I know that was only the first. I said bye to stephanya and she was a wreck and I was crying, the whole family was crying. Super sad haha but we had a special treat. I told you that we had a family night with President and Sis Hart and the family of Stephanya, it went really well so yesterday President came back and took us all to the temple so that they could see it and feel sweet spirit the temple has. So that was soooo cool. Also had to say bye to the ward members I am so close to. That was really hard but its okay, a hard goodbye was to Marcia and Evelyn also, Evelyn was baptized on Saturday so I’m so grateful that I was able to be there for that at least. Yayyyy!! I’m so excited to get the package! I still haven’t got the other one, it’s been at the office but I haven’t been there yet haha but thank you soooo much!! Getting boxes is one of the best things ever! And I’m excited about shoes!! You know me and my love for shoes haha and THANK YOU FOR SEDNING A PEDICURE SET!!!!!!!!! Mom. You have no idea. I just see my feet and just want to die haha they are so gross, then I see sisters feet when they are going home and I want to never walk again. I told her when I get married she will go to the untied stated and dj for me. She’s so excited haah she loves being friends with you on Facebook, she’s like yeah me and your mom talk and she’s so cute and loves pictures of our family. She’s so special to me. We got to watch the world cup today bc pday and brazil won Mexico!! So fun! I hope they win the whole thing!!...

i loved that video of scott and walker!! that is the cutest thing ever!! haha i love that scott and him really did become friends, he wasnt just a missionary. i love that. and freak scott gets to bring captin to powell, goodness to be scott right now haha im so happy he is still hanging out with captin, love that kid. dont worry, i didnt forget kinsies birthday, that day i thought of her all day and celebrated by myself haha and for music we dont have a rule, just not worldly music. but remember no motab please haah when i hear that i just want to pull my hair out. just some david arch. and upbeat spiritual music for work outs. i love songs that people sing that are church songs but its just a girl singing or a group. and greatest showman!! i love that. this week was rough. sis romero and i have different ideas still but we are just trying. shes getting kinda lazy with things, and complains alot. its great haha shes pretty trunky, she still has 6 months but she acts like shes going h...
